I was really excited for this collection from Mac, mainly for the Extra Dimension Skin Finishes as I'm a bit of a sucker for the mineralize skin finishes and these seemed a bit different.
But because I am trying to be a bit more sensible with my insane makeup buying (I mean I only have one face but enough makeup to probably last 10 people a lifetime), by the time I decided to invest using 10% off at Debenhams there was only Glorify left in stock.
Glorify is a nice dark bronze colour with an almost golden sheen.
It looks scarily dark when first swatched but buffs out nicely.
I love the inprint on them, I think it looks really pretty.
Although I keep thinking about getting the other two lighter shades for highlighters, I wasn't so overwhelmed that I feel I have to go out and buy them right now. Maybe if I pop into a Mac store in the next couple of weeks and they're still in stock I'll swatch them and fall in love. Who knows!

OCC Lip Tar Swatches
Here are the swatches for the two lip tars I bought that are part of the summer collection from OCC "The Garden", along with two from their fall collection "Pretty Boy".
Although they are now packaged differently the product inside seems the same, still the lovely peppermint smell and the insane pigmentation.
I prefer the new packaging as it is much easier to control the amount you get out, as well as it being neater.
Now on to the swatches:

New Makeup Storage Solution
Something I always struggle with is how to store my makeup.
I am always trying to make the most out of my collection so I tend to grab things and use them once then forget to put them back as my storage solutions have previously not been so user friendly. Mainly other beauty boxes filled with different items and dotted over the place and a couple of perspex drawers.
I've kept my Mac eyeshadows in on of my perspex drawers as this is the easiest place for me to see my full collection without rummaging.
Everything else though has now got a new home, thanks to the wonderful Lipglossiping sharing her storage solution.
It comes surprisingly cheap from Ikea. One set of Helmer drawers + 6 Antonius trays = makeup storage heaven for less than £36!!
I wasn't expecting either item to be that substantial, I thought they'd be made out of flimsy plastic but the Helmer is really robust and metal, whilst the Antonius trays are quite a strong, thick plastic.
So after a morning of DIY-ing to put it together (it wasn't actually the whole morning as it is a pretty easy piece to build) I now have a new home for all of my makeup.
There are some gaps in my drawers so now I feel it is necessary to buy more so that I can fill it up and make it look prettier :)

Ombre Lips using OCC "The Garden" Lip Tars
As mentioned in the previous post I ordered a couple of lip tars from OCC's summer collection.
I ordered the lovely light pink called Orphelia and then the amazing purple, Belladonna.
This is just a very quick look I did with the two colours in an ombre lip.
They'll be swatches of the individual colours coming up shortly.

OCC Lip Tars
I finally invested in some of the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars after seeing xsparkage's swatched of the summer colours in "The Garden" collection.
Whilst I was looking for the new colours I spotted that Love Makeup was selling off the tar's in the old packaging at £6.50 so I decided to indulge.
Today I have Queen, a gorgeous, vibrant, red/pink colour.
The wear on these is insane. I put it on before 8am, and wore it until 6pm. It survived endless cups of tea and lunch. It was a little drying after a few hours but nothing that a little balm won't fix.
I'll share my other lip tars with you another time (I can honestly say that I am in love)

Rainbow Eyeliner featuring Sugarpill Cosmetics
There have been photos of this look flying around the blogging world for a while now, I first saw it on Pinterest and Beautylish.
So after admiring the rainbow eyeliner from afar I finally decided to give it a go.
Mines nowhere near as neat as the others out there, but it was fun to wear and I got lots of compliments.
I used Sugarpill's Burning Heart Palette and a couple of MUFE eyeshadows too.
The lashes are also from Sugarpill, their a fab midnight blue, and I absolutely love the shape of them. More colours please!
FOTD featuring Sugarpill's Asylum
I love how shimmery this chromalust from Sugarpill is. Although red isn't going to be everyone's go to eyeshadow colour, I can't help but lover trying to make it wearable.
Asylum is the perfect red, nicely pigmented and very easy to work with.
In order to tone down the fact that I was wearing red, I paired it with a neutral in the inner corner of the eye and then a red based black in the outer corner, creating an alternative smokey eye.
Eyes:
Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Eyeshadows in #19 and #2
Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadow in Asylum
Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion
Daniel Sandler Jumbo Mascara
