FOTD - Firey Eyes - Featuring Sugarpill's Burning Heart Palette

So I'm pretty late on the Hunger Games bandwagon, but over the past week I've made it through 2 and a half of the books. And I love them!
Needless to say fire has been on the mind and as a result it seemed appropriate to get out my Burning Heart Palette from Sugarpill Cosmetics.

Rather a bright look that ended up having an outing to dance training, but everyone loved it so who cares if it's a bit bright!

OCC Lip Tar Swatches

Here are the swatches for the two lip tars I bought that are part of the summer collection from OCC "The Garden", along with two from their fall collection "Pretty Boy".

Although they are now packaged differently the product inside seems the same, still the lovely peppermint smell and the insane pigmentation.
I prefer the new packaging as it is much easier to control the amount you get out, as well as it being neater.

Now on to the swatches:

OCC Lip Tars

I finally invested in some of the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars after seeing xsparkage's swatched of the summer colours in "The Garden" collection.

Whilst I was looking for the new colours I spotted that Love Makeup was selling off the tar's in the old packaging at £6.50 so I decided to indulge.

Today I have Queen, a gorgeous, vibrant, red/pink colour.
The wear on these is insane. I put it on before 8am, and wore it until 6pm. It survived endless cups of tea and lunch. It was a little drying after a few hours but nothing that a little balm won't fix.

I'll share my other lip tars with you another time (I can honestly say that I am in love)

Rainbow Eyeliner featuring Sugarpill Cosmetics

There have been photos of this look flying around the blogging world for a while now, I first saw it on Pinterest and Beautylish.
So after admiring the rainbow eyeliner from afar I finally decided to give it a go.
Mines nowhere near as neat as the others out there, but it was fun to wear and I got lots of compliments.

I used Sugarpill's Burning Heart Palette and a couple of MUFE eyeshadows too.

The lashes are also from Sugarpill, their a fab midnight blue, and I absolutely love the shape of them. More colours please!

OPI Nicki Minaj Nails

So after seeing this amazing and fun design on Do Not Freeze's Blog I had to give it a go.

Basically its a crazy, bright coloured leopard print nail design using three of the new colours release from the new Nicki Minaj nail collection from OPI.
I have the mini collection that has a three brights and a glitter. And this uses the three brights, which made me very happy as I could try out three colours in one go.

You can pick up these nail varnishes at ASOS priced £11 for individual full sized bottles or £12.95 for the mini collection.

Mac Girl About Town Lipstick

I'll let you in to a secret.........I have a soft spot for Mac! It all started with my need to find highly pigmented, bright eyeshadows that the drug store brands just couldn't provide me with. As time moved on I branched out from just having crazy, colourful eye looks and decided to take the plunge into the world of lipstick.

I love everything about Mac's lipstick collection. The unbelievable selection of colours and finishes, the slight vanilla scent, the simple, sleek packaging design. I could go on, but then I'd start to bore.

After easing myself into wearing lipstick with light pinks and nudes, I decided I could stand it no longer and would simply have to have the cult Girl About Town.

It's a wonderful fuscia pink, with an amplified finish, which is quite literal. The amplified's tend to pack a punch.

This is a fab colour for anyone who wants to be a bit daring and stand out from the crowd.
The wear is amazing. I tend to get at least 6 hours before my lips start to dry and even then the colour is so intense that my lips stay stained with the colour for even longer.

There's a reason this is a bit of a cult favourite so if you're looking for a powerful pink, this may just be the one for you.

Availiable from Mac priced £13.50
