Introducing Sugarpill's Heart Breaker Palette

Last friday saw the release of four new eyeshadows from Sugarpill. I ordered the palette as soon as it went on sale as the colours looked incredible and I just love everything Sugarpill.
It arrived in the post yesterday, so happy that it only took a week to arrive, I was expecting not to get it until next month.
I instantly had to swatch and play around with it.
It was everything I hoped it would be.

Acidberry is a bright limey green, and my favourite of the four
Velocity is a royal blue, which I think is a matte pressed version of the chromolust Royal Sugar
2am is pinky purple
Mochi is the perfect light turquoise, something that I have been hunting for for a while.

The pigmentation on all of the colours are amazing. If you love bright colours then you have to add this to your makeup collection!

Here's some pictures of the palette, some swatches and a quick look I did:

FOTD - Turquoise Eyes featuring Urban Decay

It felt like time to bring out my Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette. For some reason I seem to neglect it slightly (might have something to do with the obscene amounts of eyeshadow that I own!).

The blues were what drew me in so I created the look below. Bright but smokey.

Eyes:
Urban Decay Eyeshadows in Deep End and Evidence
Urban Decay 24/7 liquid eyeliner in Perversion
Mac Kohl Pencil in Smoulder

More OCC Lip Tar Swatches

Seeing as OCC have replaced the lip tar packaging and so Love Makeup have had the old ones on sale I thought it only sensible to pick up a few more colours seeing as they are such a great product.

The colours I picked up though are not the most wearable straight from the tube, they are more in keeping with the original idea of lip tars. They are made for mixing. Or for some more creative looks they can be used on there own or layered.

Here are some swatches of the latest additions to my collection:

Red Iron Oxide
Yellow Iron Oxide
Katricia
Dangerous

Illamasqua Skin Base in Au - Human Fundamentalism

Ever since seeing the gorgeous, glowing, golden skin in Illamasqua's promo shots for their Human Fundamentalism collection, I knew I had to have the new Skin Base in Au (the chemical symbol for Gold)
Seeing as I am a rather pale person I knew it wasn't going to be my perfect foundation so I waited until I could get discount on it (thank you ASOS).

When it arrived I tried it straight out, and although dark, it does give a lovely glow. Maybe after a few weeks in the sun I could wear it as a foundation but until then.....

This is fab to mix in with your regular foundation to add a subtle shimmer and a slight glow to your skin.
Alternatively use it as a liquid bronzer, just blending it into your cheeks.
Or if you're a shimmer junkie like me, both!!!

It's hard to capture the sparkly on camera but it is lovely in real life especially when the sun catches it.

Definately one to check out if you enjoy a sunkissed look or if you, like me, just need a little more shimmer in your life.

FOTD - Firey Eyes - Featuring Sugarpill's Burning Heart Palette

So I'm pretty late on the Hunger Games bandwagon, but over the past week I've made it through 2 and a half of the books. And I love them!
Needless to say fire has been on the mind and as a result it seemed appropriate to get out my Burning Heart Palette from Sugarpill Cosmetics.

Rather a bright look that ended up having an outing to dance training, but everyone loved it so who cares if it's a bit bright!

Mac Bronzing Powder in Soft Sand

Eyes:

Mac Hey Sailor - Crew Highlighter

Whilst out shopping I finally cracked and bought the highlighter that came out with Mac's summer collection, called Crew.
I admit it was all about the looks. I love the packaging for the whole collection, navy, stripey and nautical. It makes a nice change from the white packaging from the limited edition collections of late.
Then Crew itself all pretty with its pastel pink, lilac and orange stripes. Too cute.
I swatched it in the Mac store and was impressed with the pigmentation so I parted with my money and home it came.

I do like it, when the colours are all mixed together it is a very pretty pink. But I don't see highlighter, I see blusher. Not that I have a problem with that at all.

Anyway here are a few pictures of the beauty in question.

FOTD - Green Eyes - Featuring Sugarpill

If I'm in the mood for a green eye day there is one product I always reach for...... Sugarpill's loose eyeshadow in Absinthe. It's just the perfect bright, sparkly green that certainly packs a punch.

I created a bit of a smokey eye using all Sugarpill loose shadows layered on top of a green Fluidline from Mac called Ivy to make it extra vibrant.

Eyes:
Sugarpill loose eyeshadows in Absinthe, Junebug and Stella
Mac Fluidline in Ivy
Mac Kohl Pencil in Smoulder

Red Lips - Featuring Mac's Russian Red Lipstick

This was a quick look I did before work the other day. I felt in the mood for red lips so I got out my trusted Russian Red lipstick by Mac.

I lined my lips and filled in the corners using a darker colour also from Mac called Currant then applied Russian Red lipstick over the top creating a slight gradient to the lips.

On the eyes I just used Urban Decay's Naked Palette along with their 24/7 Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion

New Armani Eyes To Kill Eyeshadows

I love the Eyes To Kill Eyeshadows, the are just incredible. The sparkle, the wear time, the colours. I don't love the hefty price tag so much but I think they are worth it. I had a House of Fraser voucher for my birthday so when there were new shades released as part of the Summer Collection I knew what to use it on.

I only went in for one but ended up with two.
Number 20 - Obsidian Black, is a gorgeous blackened teal
Number 23 - Madre Perla, is a white based duochrome with green and pink running through it

Unfortunately both of these colours are difficult to capture in their full beauty on camera, so I'd recommend trying them out in person.

Here are some pics, swatches and a quick look I did using them both:

LOTD - Featuring Mac Hey Sailor

Felt like trying out my new lipliner that came out as part of Mac's summer collection "Hey Sailor", it's a gorgeous coral called Shore Leave. Over the top of this I wore Watch Me Simmer Lipstick

I used Mac's Blacktrack Fluidline eyeliner to create a dark flick, and added a touch of sparkle to the inner corner of my eye using Mac's 3D Silver Glitter

On my cheeks I used another couple of pieces from Hey Sailor, Bronzing Powder in Soft Sand with Fleet Fast blush layered on top.

FOTD featuring Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadows

I was feeling in the mood for sparkle the other day before work so I reached for the ever beautiful Sugarpill Loose Eyeshadows.

Goldilux was a must for this look and so I decided to add in a bit of purple - Hysteric, to go along with it. Finished it off with Stella to make it smokey and voila, the look was done.

And here is the finished look :)
Might just be a new favourite combination

Mac Summer Collection - Hey Sailor!

On Monday Mac released this years summer collection named "Hey Sailor". Ever since seeing the first promo shots for this collection I have been ridiculously excited so as soon as it went live on the Mac website I placed my order.
I picked up quite a few bits but I am definately not done hauling from it. I need to get Crew highlighter since finding out the striped pattern isn't just an overspray, it does in fact go the whole way through the powder :)

Fleet Fast blush is amazing, it's such an easy colour to wear and blends beautifully.

As always my love for Mac's bronzers is still high with the two I picked up here. I got one Pro Longwear called Nude On Board and one normal bronzer named Soft Sand

Feeling Fresh eyeshadow is a gorgeous bright green, and I am glad that I finally picked up Crystal Avalanche, its the perfect inner eye highlight colour.

Finally I picked up Shore Leave lipliner, which is a lovely coral and a really buttery texture.

Anyway here's my haul along with some swatches
